Carpenters Shipwrights Tool Chest Trunk

An antique shipwright’s tool chest, this apprentice piece has a wonderful patina with a bright orange hand painted interior. The internal compartment drawers can be removed and adjusted to suit. Two drawers at the bottom of the chest with knobs and brass pull handles, one drawer with handy tool storage compartment. Inside the lid contains multiple fixings to secure and store woodwork tools. 

Dating from the 19th century, this stunning tool trunk has a great interior and has been made by a master craftsman. Could be used as furniture, a perfect size for a coffee table, blanket box, or display for storage of collectables, craft, and haberdashery. Great decorative item which would look fantastic in any home interior.

Hand painted by owner interior and exterior. Wear & tear commensurate with age shabby chic worn patina from many years of use. Solid piece. Steel handles either side to carry trunk. No key but there is a brass functioning lock.
