A 19th-century, heavy walnut original Victorian nursing chair, circa 1880s. This charming chair has a beautiful barley twist back, velvet upholstered support and seat, bobbin legs, and an ornate carved top with pointed finials. Sturdy frame made from solid wood.
Minimal wear in immaculate condition considering age, the velvet seat has been sun bleached over time, revealing a purple hue to the green fabric. Lovely patina and a wonderful addition to any period home.
